Turning up the Funk

August 15, 2018

On a Friday evening in the very heart of Shoreditch, Kerrie-Anne brought the spice and seasoning to the crowd at Red Rooster with her polished high-energy performance. Delivering soul classics including All Night Long and Teardrops, Kerrie-Anne had the crowd bumping and grooving from the opening bars. Accompanied by Thomas Totten on guitar, Alessio Barelli on drums, and Dale Davis on bass, she turned up the funk and the party vibes with everybody in the venue performing the Candy Dance.

Kerrie-Anne’s proud dad made a memorable entrance to a rousing welcome from the crowd, and one of Kerrie-Anne’s acquaintances through her teaching career – Sandra Adeniyi - also came down to dance the night away. The show ended on a sparkling high, with a mash up of Santana’s Maria Maria and DJ Khaled’s Wild Thoughts. An amazing evening where Kerrie-Anne and her band really brought the venue to life, and a night that will live in the hearts and memories of the trendy Shoreditch crowd for some time to come.
